Meet Annie
From a young age, I had a natural talent for all things creative; visual arts, music, dance. For my pragmatic immigrant parents, pursuing the arts was not ideal when it came to a career path. I went to undergrad to study biology and immediately realized it wasn't for me and switched to study graphic design. It felt like such a big, daring leap to do something I wanted to do instead of what I thought I was suppose to do.
Photography has always been my life in some form. I grew up hearing stories of my grandfather owning a photo studio in Korea. I remember using disposable cameras and tiny point and shoots to document my childhood. Sticker machines and "Dream Portraits" at the mall were a must have as a teen. Now that I have kids, there's a new sense of poignancy to capture today's memories. So after 15 years of working as a designer, I took another leap from a "suppose to" into an "I want to." It would be a joy to capture memories of you and your loved ones.
